DR. PATTI HILL

 

International Vice President, LCI

 

 

 

 

Dr. Patti Hill - A Lion from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Dr. Hill was elected to serve as the International Third Vice President of Lions Clubs International at the 2019 Convention held in Milan, Italy.

Lions Service - A member of the Edmonton Host Lions Club since 1990, VP Dr. Hill has held many offices within the association, including club president, zone chairperson, district governor and council chairperson. She also served as district chairperson for Membership, Environment, Convention, and International Relations. Additionally she has served as secretary for the Lions Eyebank (Alberta) Society, Past Director of the Lions Eye Research Institute of Northern Alberta. Dr. Hill has served on the Planning Committee of the USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum on several occasions.  On behalf of the Lions of the world, Dr. Hill has served as Leadership Chairperson, a member of the Lions Quest Advisory Committee, and the Long Range Planning committee.  Dr. Hill has also shared her leadership skills as a Multi-National Coordinator for Campaign SightFirst II, GMT Area Leader, and presenter and group leader at International Conventions. Dr. Hill has served as the Centennial Coordinator, and GLT Constitutional Leader for Constitutional Area 2 [Canada].

Recognitions - VP Dr. Hill has received numerous awards, including several Club President’s Appreciation Awards, District Lion of the Year, an Extension Award, induction into the Multiple District 37 Hall of Fame, several District Governor’s Certificates of Appreciation, several International President’s Certificates of Appreciation and International President’s and Leadership Medals. She is also a Judge Brian Stevenson Fellow, Denise and Jack Isaman Fellow, a progressive WP Woods Fellow, LionsQuest Fellow, Lions of Canada Foundation Fellow, Bill Webber Fellow, Granite State Fellow, a Dr. Patti Hill Fellow, and a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.  Dr. Hill has been awarded the Ambassador of Good Will.  

Professional Background - In her professional life, Dr. Hill is a psychologist, facilitating inter-agency collaboration in support of multi-disciplinary teams working with children and youth.

Family - Patti and her husband, Lion Greg Holmes, are both Progressive Melvin Jones Fellows. They have two adult children, Pieter and Jessica, both of whom are Lions. Their family has grown in include Erin and Mike, and Mitch. Lion Greg is the Executive Director of the Lions Villages of Greater Edmonton Society. He is also a Past Director of the Lions Foundation of Canada.
